Happy New Year! 2014!!

Hello 2014!
My New Years resolution this year is to blog more! I have been horrible keeping up with all we do! Life is just crazy sometimes and it's hard to write it all down. I use to journal a lot when I was younger and I loved going back and reading what stuff I was going through. For a quick update John is still working at Veracity doing sales and customer service and is really enjoying it. They are moving from Provo to a Draper location which means earlier mornings but a free front runner train pass! :) We like free! Iam working at Sport Clips in Lindon and loving it! I watch way too much ESPN these days but John doesn't mind. We had a great 2013 and looking forward to what 2014 brings!

Sushi Date Night

So for the past little while John and I have been CRAVING sushi! Last time we went out for sushi is when we were dating. Which seems like forever and a day ago. So last night for date night we decided to go. It was sssoo delicious and totally worth it. We also got soup before our sushi came out. Usually I just do egg drop but John got hot and spicy and so I decided to try and same and my oh my was it good! Now whenever I think sushi I think the show F.R.I.E.N.D.S.  There is an episode about sushi where Ross thinks unagi is a state of awareness that if you have total unagi you can be prepared for any danger. When really its a type of eel. Here is a clip so you can get an idea what I'm trying to explain haha

So during our date I kept thinking of that episode! It was a fun night and I'm excited for our next sushi night. YUM!

Derek's Surprise Party

John and I have became friends with Derek and Shauna Hess. Derek works with John at Veracity and Shauna is a stay at home mom to their darling little girl Scarlett who is just the cutest. Well Derek's birthday was on Feb 16th and Shauna decided to throw him a surprise party since he was turning the big 30! It was a luau theme at the church building near their home. Check out the sweet cake she got him! 

Sweet right? Now how the heck was Shauna gonna get Derek to the church building? I think she told him she needed help with some Relief Society stuff and he had to go. HAHA But hey it worked! So before they came we turned off all the lights and would turn them on when they walked in. Well one of I think Shauna's grandparents says "Why we sittin here int he dark?" it was ssoo funny and we all busted out laughing. Well once they got there we all yelled SURPRISE! He had no idea. Way to go Shauna! So we had some yummy food and later some luau dancers came. Of course they had the haka and John was apart of. It was so fun seeing him up there dancing away! 

Overall it was a fun night! Happy Birthday Derek!

Valentines 2013

Since there isn't a Feb 29th I just wanted to announce that John and I have been married 6 months today. WOW can we say that time flies!! Holy smokes. So a lot has happend since we got married and since there is so much to post about I will just start with recent events.

Valentines Day

I had the day off so I had all day to prepare for Johns gift. John had to work but we got to spend time after he got home. So this year I decided to re create the prom. John never went to his Senior Prom so I decided to re create it. I spent all day getting decorations (thanks you $1 strore),blowing up balloons, cleaning the house etc. 

John didn't get home till like 7:30. I wasn't very happy because dinner had been waiting and cold but once he gave me his gift all was forgiven. He got me pink flowers and this darling book about why he loves me. He was late because he had to go and get the book made. But seriously it was so cute! I cried!

Overall it was a GREAT Valentines Day and I can't wait for all the many more to come! YAY FOR LOVE!
